UX/UI Workshop for Startups:
Empowering Lonca Entrepreneurship Center Through Comprehensive Training

A Step-by-Step Journey:
Educational Process
The Genesis: Creating a Hub for Entrepreneurs
Kuveyt Türk Lonca Entrepreneurship Center was established by Kuveyt Türk Bank, in partnership with Workinton, as a special hub for entrepreneurs. With multiple locations, a dedicated mentoring system, and an investment fund for program graduates, the center aims to foster innovation and growth in the entrepreneurial community.
The Role of Userspots: Guiding the Journey
Userspots took on the role of training mentors for the fifth term of Lonca's program. Leveraging our extensive experience with over 90 training sessions and 1800 participants, we designed a comprehensive curriculum. This included a 2-week training followed by a 1-week product development program, culminating in a Branding Workshop as a bonus.
Laying the Foundation:
Week 1
Usability Testing Training: We began with usability training, providing a 7-step guide to perform tests, helping startups detect and prevent potential errors in their products.
Benchmarking Training and Trends: A one-day session on global trends and benchmarking, teaching startups how to evaluate and improve their products by studying competitors.
User Research Training: Through small exercises and persona development, we expanded the teams' perspectives on their products and services.

Deepening Insights:
Week 2
Data Analysis Training and Study: We taught methods for analyzing user research data, creating personas, and mapping customer journeys and mental models.
Design Training and Design Workshop: Introducing Design Thinking, we guided teams through its processes and steps, followed by practical exercises.
Interface Design: Participants learned wireframe concepts and created wireframes for their products.

Building and Testing Prototypes:
Week 3
Prototyping Interviews and Validation Tests: We explained MVP testing methods and conducted practical MVP exercises using Miroboard.

Crafting a Brand Identity
Bonus Week
Branding Strategy Workshop: We emphasized the importance of brand identity beyond logos and colors, covering:
Brand Heart
Brand Space
Brand Character
Visual Identity
Outcomes and Reflections
Each startup left the program with a comprehensive Brand Report, including exercises and data added to their Miro boards. This workshop was a testament to the importance of integrating branding with UX, demonstrating how a strong brand identity can enhance overall product success.
